Tonight I went to see Hair, the musical and it was interesting to say the least! Set in 1967, Hair sees the cast of young New Yorkers blasting out random lyrics at full pelt, which was a shame as the vocals were absolutely amazing! The storyline sees them struggle to balance their lives meanwhile rebelling against their parent’s conservative ways and the upcoming Vietnam draft. There were Hare Krishnas, African tribes and all sorts of sexual references throughout the first act. Rather shocking and unexpected, just before the intermission all 20 odd members of the cast stripped butt naked, and let’s just say it was made more awkward by the German mother and two young boys under six sitting behind me!
